Coiled Tubing
- EVA, is excellent for surgical, hospital and pharmaceutical applications. Flexible, Corrosion, Chemical Resistant.
- HDPE, is more rigid and harder than low density materials and is three times better in compressive strength. HDPE complies with FDA requirements for direct food contact applications. It is also accepted by USDA, NSF and Canadian Department of Agriculture.
- FEP, This semi-rigid, autoclavable FEP tubing handles up to 400° F and has excellent chemical/corrosion resistance (2nd to PTFE; Equal to PFA) and is UL94-VO rated. It allows biological preparations to flow without adhesion, complies to FDA/USDA standards, and is UV resistant.
- LDPE, Flexible. Natural milky color. Translucent. High impact strength. Excellent environmental stress crack resistance. Low water and alcohol permeability. Resistant to many chemicals
- LLDPE, Flexible. Natural milky color. Translucent. High impact strength. Excellent environmental stress crack resistance. Low water and alcohol permeability. Resistant to many chemicals
- MDPE-Spira, Provides intermediate properties between low- and high-density polyethylene, where more rigidity than LDPE and less rigidity than HDPE is required.
- Nylon, General
Purpose Nylon
- PFA, Great
for bearings and gaskets, PFA (perfluoroalkoxy fluorocarbon) resists
deformation under stress better than Teflon. This material also resists
cracking better than PTFE.
- Polypropylene,
is lightweight, flexible, and an excellent electrical
insulator. It has a hard, very smooth surface that prevents bacteria and
resists chemical corrosion.
- Polyurethane,
Ether-based polyurethane tubing offers excellent resistance to kinks, abrasion, hydrolysis, oxidation, and ozone with high resilience, good energy absorption, and good all-around chemical resistance. Excellent in applications requiring superior toughness and resistance to tear, oxidation, fungus, and humidity. Remains impact resistant and flexible in cold temperature applications. Polyester-based polyurethane tubing is generally stronger and enjoys a slight cost advantage.
Ester-based tubing's weakness, however, is a tendency to hydrolize and degrade when exposed to water or moisture.
- PVC, Smooth, corrosion resistant, non-aging and non-oxidizing vinyl is produced from raw materials meeting FDA and U.S. Pharmacopoeia Classes I through VI requirements
- PVDF, offers better resistance to wear and deformation than PTFE but has a narrower temperature range. Flame Retardant and Weather Resistant and Wash-Down Applications
- Santoprene,
Highly durable, resistant to fatigue, ozone,
ultraviolet, acids, alkalis, oils, lubricants.
- Silicone Tygon SPX
50, High-Strength Silicone Tubing. Ultra-smooth inner bore reduces risk of particle entrapment. Taste and odor free .Withstands temperatures from -75°F to 350°F. Meets FDA, 3-A, NSF and USP Class VI criteria.
- Silicone Tygon SPX 70IB
Braided, High-Strength Silicone Pressure Tubing. Tough braid reinforcement permits use under elevated working pressure. Taste and odor free.
Temperature resistant from -112°F to 320°F. Withstands repeated CIP and SIP cleaning and sterilization .Meets FDA, 3-A, NSF and USP Class VI criteria
- Silicone
Viton, Harder than natural rubber, this synthetic rubber tubing resists high temperatures, ozone, and UV exposure. Not pressure rated, use for gravity flow applications. Not rated for sterilization or bend radius. Temperature Range: -15° to +400° F.
Use with chemicals, natural gas, and oil.
- Silicone
Nexsil, All ingredients in the tube compound are FDA sanctioned. Inert, odorless and tasteless. Resists UV light, ozone, gases and moisture. Self extinguishing and good electrical properties. -100 F to +500F / -73C to +260C *, Tubing is NSF 51 listed.
- Teflon
- TFE, Features many unique and useful characteristics. If your temperature requirements range up to 500 F. TFE is a superior choice. It is resistant to virtually all corrosive chemicals. It's dielectric properties favor it for electronic and electrical service. It has remarkable dielectric strength, not affected by ultraviolet and is resistant to oxidation, discoloration, and embrittlement.
